Shop Helper/Welder Trainee

A well-established local manufacturing company is looking for a hardworking and reliable Shop Helper to support our fabrication team. No experience is necessary for the right candidatewe will provide on-the-job training. This is a hands-on position in a busy shop environment and a great opportunity to start a career in the skilled trades. The ideal candidate is physically fit, eager to learn, and not afraid to get dirty.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assisting with various metal fabrication tasks
- Cutting metal using a saw
- Grinding and sanding welded parts and raw materials to achieve a smooth finish
- Moving and organizing materials and finished products around the workshop
- Observing and learning fabrication techniques to eventually work independently
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

**Requirements:**

- Must be able to comfortably and safely lift 100 pounds repeatedly
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must prioritize safety at all times

**Compensation:**

$20/hour to start, with opportunities to increase based on skill development and performance.
