Job Description:

• Proficient in TIG, GMAW, and SMAW.
• Ability to work in 6G and 6GR positions.
• Weld in open as well as tight, restricted areas.
• Perform grinding and pick up work as needed.
• Must be able to set up welding equipment, dial in gear for optimal performance and perform a drop test.
• Must be able to set up welding gear aboard ships using long leads.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.

Job Requirements:

• Must have reliable/own transportation.
• Must successfully pass an extensive welding test based on specific welding applications.
• 5 Years minimum welding experience in the Marine Industry as 1st Class.
• 11 panel Drug Screen.
• Comfortable with heights and in confined spaces.
• Lift 50lbs without assistance.
• Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
