Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:

  • As a Federal Contractor, Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and a pre-employment drug test, including marijuana.
  • 1+ Year of Press Brake Operator Experience required
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English
  • Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
  • Operation of small power tools, other hand tools and computerized and high-pressure

What You Do:

  • Technical authority for container fabrication and welding processes
  • SME across MIG, TIG, and Flux-core welding
  • Primary escalation point for weld quality, fit-up, and dimensional issues
  • Sets standards for safety, quality, and fabrication best practice
  • Lead complex container fabrication and critical weld structures
  • Approve weld sequencing, fixturing, and distortion control methods
  • Support engineering with design-for-manufacturability feedback
  • Verify weld parameters and process controls
  • Own weld inspection standards (visual and dimensional)
  • Analyze rework, defects, and trends; implement countermeasures
  • Train and qualify welders by process and application
  • Support audits and customer or government inspections
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving using A3
  • Own welding CI roadmap for containers and small parts
  • Lead kaizen events impacting safety, quality, and throughput
  • Mentor Tier III welders and develop future leads
