We have an outstanding career opportunity for aSenior Maintenance Mechanicto join a leading Company located in theNorwood, MAsurrounding area. We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team at our Norwood, MA facility. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this highly skilled position plays a key role in maintaining the performance and reliability of our complex electro-mechanical systems used in food production. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for an expert technician who not only excels in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance but also enjoys mentoring and developing junior mechanics. You will be the go-to expert in the plant, ensuring uptime, efficiency, and continuous improvement across a wide range of food production machinery. Responsibilities : + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems including motor controls, power distribution, variable speed controllers, robotics, and production line equipment. + Perform preventive maintenance on complex food manufacturing machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance. + Lead diagnosis and repair efforts using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools. + Mentor junior maintenance staff and apprentices, sharing best practices and technical expertise. + Support equipment installations and continuous improvement projects focused on safety, productivity, and efficiency. + Conduct welding/fabrication (stick, MIG, TIG) and operate tools such as lathes, Bridgeports, and drill presses when necessary. + Utilize CMMS to document work orders, identify maintenance trends, and drive improvements in the preventive maintenance process. Basic Hiring Criteria : + Valid U.S. Driver's License is required. + Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably including time with an OEM or similar environment. + Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical food production equipment. + Advanced knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. + Prior experience in food manufacturing is required; experience with packaging equipment is preferred. + Strong working knowledge of PLCs and automation systems. + Hands-on experience with LOTO, CMMS systems, and good manufacturing practices (cGMP/GMP). + MA Fireman 2 License or Ammonia Operator 1 Certification preferred. + Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
