Job Description:
Hays is working with a phenomenal growing civil general contractor. This is a medium-sized family-owned civil contractor who is looking to add a Project Engineer to their team. They work on NYCDDC, MTA, and NYSDOT design-build projects valued over 100 million dollars. They pay for health care fully and offer a 401k, car allowance, and yearly bonus. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to the closeout of the projects.
Ensure projects arepleted on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Develop project plans, including project scope, schedule, and budget
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensurepliance with project plans, safety regulations, and city regulations.
Communicate with subcontractors, clients, vendors, government agencies, and consultants to ensure work is done smoothly and correctly.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and material purchase orders.
Ensure project closeout activities arepleted, including final inspections, punch lists, and project turnover
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
10 plus years of experience in project management in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Excellentmunication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite
