Construction Manager

A Construction Manager is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Berlin, CT area. This role oversees the safe and compliant construction of electrical substation and transmission projects by managing contractors, coordinating resources, and ensuring adherence to design, schedule, budget, and regulatory standards.

responsibilities:

• Oversee construction contractors for electrical substation and transmission projects.
  
  
• Must have prior construction management experience specific to substations/transmission.
  
  
• Ensure the safe completion of work and set safety expectations across teams.
  
  
• Address and resolve safety concerns; promote continuous safety learning.
  
  
• Review and develop safety and work method practices.
  
  
• Conduct site visits and verify contractor work aligns with project plans.
  
  
• Lead construction status meetings and interface with stakeholders.
  
  
• Provide direction to vendor reps; mentor department members.
  
  
• Approve contractor timesheets, invoices, and manage change orders.
