This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: Summary:The Field Engineer will assist the Project Manager with the day-to-dayconstruction, technical and administrative aspects of assignedconstruction projects.Field engineer will assist Project Manager & Suptin field work support role, including but not limited to estimating,procurement, report preparation, and overall support in every aspect ofeach project.Supervisory Responsibilities:Responsible for oversight of subcontractors when applicable.This mayinclude resolution of jobsite issues and situations as theyarise.Supervision includes use of discretion and independent judgementwhen dealing with discrepancies and matter of significance on the job.Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.Perform project startup- Comprehension of construction plans and specifications for assigned project- Review of Owner Contract for project specific requirements- Distribute drawings to subcontractor for pricing/Contract Award Review Project Specifications for submittal requirements- Set up an initial master document set of drawings in construction management (CM) software- Understand and perform document control procedures in accordance with KBE policy and procedures- Coordinate all information and documents for project kick-off meeting.Compile all necessary project information and documents required for project start-upMaintain Contract Drawings- Maintain & update construction drawings and document logs- Post A/E Sketches & Addendum and incorporate revisions into master document set in CM Software- Review as-built drawings for compliance and accuracy prior to making monthly subcontractor payments/ review identified issues to the Project Manager- Ensure As-Built documents are maintained by Superintendent and subcontractorsCompile and process RFIs- Research and discuss RFIs with Superintendent- Draft, compile, and distribute RFIs via CM software.Ensure timely follow-up on responses- Enter into Construction Management Software and follow through on responses- Track for possible cost and schedule impact- Maintain RFI logs and post to CM SoftwareProcess Owner Contract Revisions, Change Proposals and Change Orders- Review all incoming changes and identify as Potential Change Order (PCO)- Distribute for pricing/ estimate, as applicable.Maintain PCO log- Ensure follow-up on pricing from vendors- Compile data and distribute Change Proposals/Orders to appropriate parties- Revise Change Proposals/Requests as applicable and as a priority- Review changes with Project Team as applicable and as a priority- Update Change Proposal/Order Logs and review them at weekly subcontractor meetings- Flag outstanding Change Orders to PM that may impact timeline or when response is delayed from owner- Maintain all related logs for review at meetings- Prepare Owner project status reportsProcess submittals- Review Submittals for accuracy and compliance with Specifications. Consult Superintendent for all issues that need clarification- Follow up with Subcontractors and Design Team members for timely submission of Submittals.Make team aware of delinquent submittals- Prepare and update Submittal Log on weekly basis- Stamp, initial, package and distribute submittals to and from all parties- Track/enter Submittals to and from field, Architect, consultants and subcontractors- Obtain information and Submittal approvals required from Owner, Architect, and engineering consultants for timely processing- Prepare / updated Submittal Log- Name and file all submittals electronically p r proceduresProcess subcontract change orders- Review all incoming changes for conformity/validity and create PCO as required- Compile data and distribute Subcontractor Change Orders for digital signaturePerform various administrative and Project Manager assigned tasks- Coordinate and schedule meetings as directed.Prepare and print all reports necessary for meetings- Review awarded subcontracts, assist with daily reports and prepare project meeting minutes- Review Job Status Report and follow up with any non-compliance items- Enter subcontractor contact information for Project Directory- Distribute Project Schedules as required- Compose project related correspondence as required or requested by the Project Manager or Superintendent- Create and maintain subcontractors close out compliance- Provide supplemental site supervision as needed on projectQuality Assurance / Quality Control and
