This position is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and supporting products that meet the following: + Commitments to cost and schedule + Customer, compliance, and regulatory requirements + Curbell's Quality Management System Essential Functions + Demonstrate electrical design and analysis capabilities including analog and digital design, circuit design and analysis, design for manufacturing, design for cost, design for test, design for standards (ISO, FDA, UL, ANSI, etc.), and basic software design. + Design and develop products for Curbell's customers. Act as project lead on small to midsize projects that require project management skills. Employ manual and automated tools to assist in the design process, including Altium, circuit simulation, spreadsheets and statistical software. Enhancements to existing designs managed at this level, including functional improvements, changes to increase product reliability and reduce product cost. + Demonstrate abilities in project management. Demonstrate skill in managing functional aspects of a project, including design verification and validation. + Expand knowledge of electrical engineering discipline by seeking outside training, learning from more experienced peers, and interaction with outside suppliers and test facilities. Identify and implement changes to the Curbell Quality Management System and other processes to improve the effectiveness of the design engineering department. Create documentation for internal and external use. + Pursue and maintain technical and strategic relationships with business partners, suppliers, and external sources of engineering services. Maintain basic knowledge of customer and supplier products and processes. Able to resolve customer issues with limited supervision. + Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required + Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering Experience Preferred + Must possess the ability to read and interpret schematics and understand the function of common electronic components, and the ability to explain them to others. Must possess mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Must be able to use standard electrical test equipment.
