We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Interior Designer to join our commercial interiors team.
Working with the project team, the right candidate would be responsible for taking a leadership role on Commercial and Hospitality projects of various scales. This would include management and production, as required, throughout all phases of any particular project. We are looking for a candidate that has strong design skills and a broad range of local experience.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
6+ years relevant post-graduate U.S. experience
Professional Architectural or Interiors degree from an accredited institution
4+ years of professional experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; 2+ years of professional experience with Revit; familiarity with Sketchup a plus
Familiarity producing design packages and presenting to clients
Experience and ability to coordinate with consultants and produce detailed Construction Documents
Ability to maintain, optimize and improve the efficiency and accuracy of Revit models with a focus on interior projects is preferred
Strong knowledge of architectural design details with experience guiding Junior Designers through documentation phase
Knowledge of applicable local codes including NYC Alteration Type 1 (Alt-CO) and Type 2 filings
Experience in Construction Administration including noting and resolving field coordination issues with contractors as well as detailed submittal review
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, and contractors
Experience in a wide range of projects
Strong design, communication, organizational and collaborative skills
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and rigorous environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
