Join a leading supplier of metals to the aerospace industry as an experienced Chop Saw Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for loading metals into machines, setting up fixtures, using cutting units, and measuring metals to ensure accurate cutting lengths. After cutting, you will inspect the metals using measuring tools and smooth out burrs with handheld deburring equipment. Responsibilities Load metals into machines and set up the correct fixtures. Operate cutting units to cut metals to precise lengths. Measure and inspect metals to ensure accurate cutting. Use handheld deburring equipment to smooth burrs on metal ends. Assist in shipping and receiving and operate CNC band saws to make pieces. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading tape measures and performing basic math calculations. Computer savvy with heavy usage to review orders and ensure accuracy. Experience with chop saw and machine operation. Ability to operate cranes for moving large alloys. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the manufacturing industry. Knowledge of blueprint reading. Familiarity with grinding and saw operation. Work Environment Work in a new, organized shop that can be loud with multiple machines running simultaneously. The first shift operates from 7am-3:30pm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
