Project Engineer Project Engineer I (0-3 years exp.) -Salary range 69,500-89,600 Project Engineer II (3-5 years exp.) -Salary range 77,900-100,000 Project Engineer III (5-7 years exp.) -Salary range 106,600-135,200 Summary Provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. Reviews plans and other technical documents, answers questions regarding the scope and/or scheduling of the project, and monitors costs and project progress. Development of cost estimates and schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist project manager with assigned tasks. Properly document weekly project meetings and/or field decisions Assist the project team with site safety documentation and QC management On-site project support for all the day-to-day operations Assist project manager/accountant with monthly billings and pay applications Create, manage and track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and samples from the field to the design team Coordinate with admin support staff (e.g. generate purchase orders, code invoices, review vendor/supplier billings, etc.) Assist in the development of cost estimates Assist with monitoring project costs and progress of construction activities Help manage and control of project documentation Assist the project manager/superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule Assist project team with resolution of potential issues between owner, contractor and/or subcontractor(s) Assist project manager/owner in getting local jurisdiction permits for the project Assist with and coordinate project change-order management Assist with safety and quality control management Assist with accurate forecasting and management of budgets Assist the project team with closeout of the project Required Skills Effective communication skills Thorough and attentive to details Able to prioritize and multitask Proactive, highly organized, and deadline-oriented Independently problem solve project-related issues and propose/implement remedies with clients and stakeholders Effectively prioritize project needs/objectives and effectively manage time spent on various project tasks Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications, permits, memorandum, and other project- related documents. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's civil engineering degree or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; and 2 years work experience in project management, ecological restoration, construction, geo-engineering, environmental consulting, natural resource management or equivalent/related fields.
