JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional
services consulting firm, has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level
structural engineer to join our water group. Responsibilities include
assisting with the structural design of water resource structures and
other structural engineering projects; evaluating and analyzing existing
structures; preparing structural plans and specifications for bidding
and construction; preparing formatted structural calculation packages;
writing technical reports; and participating in site visits. A valid
driver\'s license and some travel will be required. The successful
candidate must have a bachelor\'s degree (or higher) in civil or
architectural engineering from an accredited college or university or
within nine months of hire. The ideal candidate will have experience
and/or knowledge of the following: Structural engineering coursework
including design of concrete, steel, masonry and timber Structural
analysis and design in-practice (work experience) including concrete,
steel, masonry, and anchorage Design, analysis, and construction methods
of water retaining structures and retaining walls using reinforced
concrete Construction administration of structural systems including
observations, RFIs, submittal review, and working collaboratively with
contractors to develop solutions Structural engineering software
programs including finite element analysis, CAD, 3D modeling, and
production programs (such as RISA-3D, SAP2000, AutoCAD, MicroStation,
Revit, SolidWorks, and Bluebeam Revu) Structural engineering Codes and
Standards Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam Familiarity
with in-house calculation tools including spreadsheets (MS Excel) If you
