A well-established international wind energy developer is seeking an experienced Civil or Electrical Superintendent to support field operations for two upcoming renewable energy projects in the Midwest. This contract role begins with mobilization and early-phase construction near Fort Wayne, Indiana, and continues with follow-on work near Peoria, Illinois. responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site lead for civil or electrical scope execution, depending on discipline.
- Oversee subcontractors and crews during key project phases such as access road construction, foundation/pad installation, underground work, directional boring, or switchyard/substation infrastructure.
- Monitor safety, quality, and productivity across assigned scopes.
- Ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are coordinated for smooth daily operations.
- Track progress against schedule and escalate issues requiring attention.
- Work closely with project management and engineering teams to verify field work meets specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily reporting, redlines, and field logs.
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale wind, transmission, or power generation projects.
- Proven field leadership in civil infrastructure or medium/high-voltage electrical systems.
- Direct experience with one or more of the following: pad construction, substation/switchyard installation, bores, access roads, or large-scale underground cabling.
- Proven communication and organizational skills; able to lead subcontractor crews and coordinate with other field teams.
- Experience with Excel and other tools to submit required daily and weekly progress reports
- Ability to support multi-site responsibilities with staggered timelines.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites.
- Company truck and fuel card provided
