Our client, a leading technology infrastructure provider, is seeking a** **Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Center Construction** **to join their team.** As an **Electrical Engineer 5** , you will be part of the **Engineering Department** supporting **Data Center Construction and Commissioning Teams** . The ideal candidate will have **strong leadership** , **detail-oriented mindset** , and **cross-functional collaboration skills** , which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** **Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Center Construction** **Location:** Boydton, VA (100% Onsite) **Pay Range:** $45/hr. - $50/hr. **Contract Length:** 6 - 18 Months **Work Authorization:** Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **What's the Job?** + Serve as the on-site electrical engineering and project management representative throughout construction of a multi-phase datacenter campus. + Conduct regular site inspections and field reviews to ensure construction aligns with design and quality standards. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including general contractors, trades, and engineering SMEs. + Review technical documentation, specifications, and commissioning protocols for compliance and performance assurance. + Manage RFI responses, submittal reviews, and commissioning support to enable seamless project execution. **What's Needed?** + 5+ years of experience in data center electrical engineering or equivalent (8+ years without a degree; 3-5+ years with B.S./M.S.). + Proficiency in interpreting construction documents, submittals, and engineering specifications. + Hands-on experience with electrical systems including power distribution, backup power, and EPMS. + Familiarity with electrical control diagrams, sequences of operation, and network communication protocols. + Strong leadership, issue-resolution skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, construction-heavy environment. **What's in it for me?** + Work on cutting-edge, high-visibility hyperscale datacenter projects. + Gain experience with state-of-the-art electrical systems and power infrastructure. + Collaborate with top-tier engineering, construction, and operations teams. + Opportunity to influence future datacenter designs and best practices. + Long-term project stability with potential for extension based on performance.
