Project Engineer / Engineer - Heavy Civil Location: Newtown, PA Employment Type: Full-Time | Easy Apply Position Overview: A leading heavy civil construction firm is seeking a Project Engineer / Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in heavy construction-including highways, bridges, deep foundations, water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial electrical work, marine, and other industrial facilities. This role is best suited for individuals with strong initiative, excellent planning and problem-solving skills, and a solid commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and track all project submittals Assist with construction design: including form and pour drawings, major lift/pick plans, and layout of pipe, conduit, and equipment Analyze survey reports, blueprints, maps, and topographic/geographic data to support project planning Support field teams in tracking and controlling costs and performance to deliver successful results Generate project cost reports and updates for internal teams Monitor project sites to ensure work conforms to specifications and safety standards Assist in preparing and submitting claims as necessary Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction Familiarity with OSHA standards, QA/QC practices, and industry best practices Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within a 1-2 hour radius Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills & Certifications: OSHA 10-Hour Certification Marine construction experience is a plus Benefits Include: Competitive wages and bonus program 401(k) match Graduated paid time off (PTO) policy Opportunities for career growth and advancement Employee ownership opportunities Company vehicle provided for qualifying candidates
