The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a construction site to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and timely manner.

DUTIES:

+ Lead and manage the on-site construction teams, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.

+ Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects.

+ Responsible for control of crew costs including effective use of manpower, work methods, and operation of equipment.

+ Work with Project Superintendent to pre-plan work schedules and determine manpower levels, materials and equipment necessary for project productivity.

+ Coordinate with subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries.

+ Read specifications, such as blueprints to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.

+ Set and oversee production goals and daily production tracking.

+ Manage equipment and material resources efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

+ Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.

+ Conducts safety training of assigned personnel in accordance with safety training procedures.

+ Investigates accident reports, damage claims, and may be a designated representative to settle minor damage or injury claims.

+ Complete and submit daily to Superintendent the Foreman Daily Report.

+ All other duties assigned by Management.

**Qualifications**

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

+ High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).

+ 5 years of industrial construction experience with 3 years in a leadership role.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and project specifications.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.

+ Experience managing crews and subcontractors preferred.

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Must have a valid Driver's License.

WORKING CONDITIONS

+ Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds or more.

+ Must be able to adapt to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration.

+ Position requires long periods of stooping, bending, and standing.

+ Must be able to, walk, climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle, grasp or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; kneel or crouch; talk; hear.
