Scheduler

The Scheduler will be responsible for daily updates and preparation of meeting minutes for distribution after client and internal meetings. They will support requests for schedule development and project estimation, exporting schedules into Excel format for the cost department, which utilizes this for labor hour reports and other cost reporting tasks. Communication with PM partners regarding SPI, EVM, milestones, and other scheduling responsibilities is crucial to ensure progress aligns with client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Exercise independent judgment to develop and maintain multiple moderate to complex project schedules using P6 software.
• Develop project work breakdown structures to meet scheduling and cost tracking requirements, integrating input from the Project Manager.
• Provide critical path analysis and create 'what if' scenarios; evaluate the impact of changes to the critical path and escalate issues to Project Management as needed.
• Lead project schedule status meetings, providing valued project data and analysis.
• Oversee and analyze project productivity, trends, forecasts, and their impact on the schedule, budget, and cost.
• Develop and analyze project metrics; generate accurate, timely reports and schedules for management.
• Update the Project Manager on schedule status, identify potential problems, develop and implement resolutions, escalating prolonged issues to appropriate senior personnel.

• Proficiency in P6 software to create projects from scratch.
• 5 years of experience in building schedules, evaluating Earned Value Management (EVM), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Experience working within nuclear or construction environments.
• Ability to support 8-10 projects at a time with varying budgets and 50-100 activities each.

• Nuclear experience.
• Bruce Power or OPG Security clearances.

The role involves working either in the site trailer at Bruce Power or the Kincardine facility. It offers a hybrid schedule, with 2 days on-site and 2 days remote. The work week consists of 4 days, Monday to Thursday, each lasting 10 hours. This role provides a dynamic and varied project environment, with a focus on electrical projects below $25 million.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
