Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Food Processing Superintendent to oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of large-scale food manufacturing equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and power systems within a construction and industrial food production environment. The ideal candidate will lead installation projects, ensure operational readiness, and support owner in startup of production lines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and commissioning of large food processing equipment and production lines.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and construction teams to ensure proper mechanical, electrical, and power systems are in place.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment startup.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards during equipment setup and operation.
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors during facility construction or expansions.

• Expertise in construction project coordination and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Experience in supervising installation and commissioning of food processing equipment.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

• Experience as an owner's representative during construction inspections.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, maintenance, and construction teams.

The role involves active on-site management within a construction environment, focusing on the setup and operation of food manufacturing facilities

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
