Journeyperson Electrician - Integrated Mining Team

Company: Finning Canada Number of Openings: 2 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: Finning Canada is looking for passionate and field experienced Journeyperson Electricians (Red Seal preferred) to join our Integrated Mining Team (IMT). Journeyperson Electricians on our Integrated Mining Team are responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy electrical and power generation equipment in Northern British Columbia and Yukon Mining Industries. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment, and service machinery for the biggest players in the industry.

Note: This position is based on either a 7 x 7 or 14 x 14 continuous shift rotation. Employees may live in the location of their choice and travel to various mining locations in BC and Yukon as required.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset
• Power Generation experience would be considered an asset
• Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset
• Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset
• Team player capable of working with minimal supervision, in challenging conditions
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract

Notes:

• A condition of employment may be the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
