Project Engineer

Project Engineer - Commercial & Public Works Construction Location: Lancaster, CA (with future projects in Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire) Compensation: 85-100k+ (based on experience) + ESOP + 100% Paid Medical Benefits Industry: Commercial Construction / Public Works / Education / DSA About the Company: I'm representing a well-established, employee-owned general contractor with annual revenues of over $700M. Current Opportunity: The immediate need is for a Project Engineer to join a high-profile, $85M ground-up project in Lancaster , expected to run for approximately 12 months. Upon successful completion, additional opportunities will be available across LA, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. Key Responsibilities: Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project coordination Assist with RFIs, submittals, document control, and meeting minutes Track schedules, materials, and subcontractor performance Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and city officials Maintain construction logs and ensure documentation compliance Participate in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover packages Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 1-4+ years of experience in commercial construction Strong organizational and communication skills Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and/or related construction software Willingness to work onsite and travel to future job sites within Southern California Why Join This Company: Employee-Owned (ESOP): Share in the company's long-term success 100% Paid Medical Benefits: Comprehensive coverage for employees Career Growth: Be part of a respected team with a strong backlog of projects High-Profile Work: Build iconic schools, civic centers, and commercial campuses
