PURPOSE OF POSITION

As an Electrical Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, program, wire and assemble DC and AC electrical control systems. These systems are used on mobile and stationary Volumetric Proportioning Concrete Mixing equipment. Under limited supervision, provides a wide range of technical support to the production floor, engineers, and customers. Responsible for recognizing component and/or equipment problems that arise and perform independent troubleshooting and testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the person will:

  • Troubleshoot electrical-mechanical issues related to the operation of our volumetric concrete mixer and adjoining truck or trailer.
  • Read electrical and wiring schematics, diagnose issues and make repairs to production, service, and warranty related problems.
  • Process customers return electrical components and assemblies, make repairs, or facilitate replacement.
  • Program electronic hardware to support production operation.
  • Assist in service calls for troubleshooting problems.
  • Must have a strong determination to protect the customer from quality and product reliability risks balanced with an appropriate sense of urgency to make sure factory productivity needs are met.
  • May participate in the installation and on-site service of equipment at customer locations.
  • Process, assemble and deliver customer service parts request.
  • Act as back-up to Electrical Cell Team Leader.
  • Recommend related product improvements and corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
  • 4-year Electrical Engineering and/or Technician degree preferably in the field of electrical, electronics, or controls preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in related field.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and control engineering principals.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with AC control system design is a plus.
  • Auto CAD systems, Solid Works, Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to carry out direction in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Licensed Electrician a plus.
