_Form Carpenter - Commercial Construction_** **Location:** Maryland **Job Type:** Full-Time **Pay Range:** $25 - $35 based on experience **Position Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Form Carpenter** to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience building and setting forms for concrete structures in a variety of commercial settings, including foundations, walls, columns, and slabs. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Construct, erect, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures according to blueprints and specifications. + Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and plywood for formwork using hand and power tools. + Set and align forms for concrete pours, ensuring proper dimensions and structural integrity. + Install rebar, embeds, and other structural components as required. + Strip forms after concrete has cured and prepare materials for reuse. + Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations. + Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. **Required Qualifications:** + Proven experience as a form carpenter in commercial construction. + Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and drawings. + Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems (e.g., Symons, Peri, Doka, etc.). + Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. + Understanding of construction math and layout techniques. + Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks. **Preferred Qualifications:** + OSHA 10 or 30 certification. + Experience with tilt-up or cast-in-place concrete systems. + Familiarity with local building codes and inspection requirements. **Work Environment:** + Outdoor and indoor construction sites with varying weather conditions. + Exposure to loud noise, dust, and heavy machinery. + Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times.
