Machine Operator Job Description Operate various machines to produce products for the agricultural industry. Primarily responsible for operating large industrial press machines using pedals and buttons to mold agricultural products. Load conveyor with raw materials to be processed through an industrial oven, ensuring the correct temperature is reached before pressing. Utilize tongs to handle heated materials and quench products in a water solution before transferring them to the finishing department. Meet production expectations by applying knowledge of routings, bill of materials, feed systems, and occasionally blueprints. Assist in moving materials or products manually or using a hoist or forklift. Start machine operation and monitor for any misalignment or malfunction. Conduct quality checks in accordance with company standards. Clean and lubricate machines and tooling as necessary, with potential for additional routine machine maintenance upon training. Monitor machine operation to detect misalignment or malfunction. Conduct quality checks according to company standards. Clean and lubricate machines and tooling as required. Perform routine machine maintenance once trained. Essential Skills Experience with press brake, stamping press, and punch press operations. Machine operation skills including CNC, router, laser, burn table, shear press, and saw. Ability to grind, bend steel, and work with sheet metal and carbon steel. General production, assembly, and construction experience. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools. Capability to conduct inspections using a tape measure. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred qualification of 1+ years in manufacturing or production. Experience in machine operation and press operation. Open to training the right candidate. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
