Cost Engineer

Cost Engineer Job Description This position involves planning, performing takeoffs, reconciling construction contractor costs, conducting Excel analysis, and developing Excel spreadsheets. The role requires a strong focus on cost engineering, with opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities Plan and perform takeoffs to assess project requirements. Reconcile construction contractor's costs to ensure accurate budgeting. Conduct detailed Excel analysis for project cost management. Develop comprehensive Excel spreadsheets for cost tracking and reporting. Essential Skills Experience in construction and construction management. Proficiency in change order negotiation. 2-5+ years of relevant experience. Background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP). Proficiency in Bluebeam and AutoCAD. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background working with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is advantageous. Work Environment The role is based 100% in-office in thr Bronx offering an opportunity to work closely with a Construction Management team.
