Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and well-rounded Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leadership and project managers on complex interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. It's ideal for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager role while gaining hands-on experience in a high-performance environment. Key Responsibilities: Support project managers with daily coordination, scheduling, and document control Manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement tracking using Procore and internal SOPs Interface with subcontractors to verify pricing, lead times, and scopes Assist in preparing budgets, tracking logs, and processing change orders Attend job site meetings; assist with punch list tracking and field documentation Maintain current drawing sets and ensure distribution of updates Help enforce internal standards, timelines, and project deliverables Qualifications: 2-5 years of relevant experience (internships or entry-level CM/GC roles count) Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred Experience using Procore, Microsoft Excel, and construction documentation tools Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Detail-oriented, proactive, and well-organized OSHA 30 required (or ability to obtain quickly) Must be available to work on-site from our Long Island City office; this is not a remote or hybrid role. Preferred Experience: Retail, hospitality, or commercial interiors Understanding of job site workflows or previous on-site coordination Experience working on NYC-based projects a plus Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience Healthcare contribution, 401K with company match, paid time off Monthly phone allowance Opportunity for promotion to Project Manager with strong performance
