Southland is seeking a safety professional to assist the Division Safety Manager and other safety coordinators to ensure Southland Industries meets all safety requirements

You will be in the field and on site at the data center in Sterling, VA to help manage and coordinate all division safety activities

Tours and inspects small or large, complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations

Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports and training logs

Documents information for the investigation of accidents and injuries and submits data to regulatory agencies as required and consults with manager on decisions that significantly impact the company

Skills and Requirements

5-7 years experience in a Safety Construction Environment

o Previous project management experience

Bachelor's Degree in Safety, health, or Environmental Applied Sciences OR Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Certification

OSHA 10hr and OSHA 30hr

CPR and First Aid Certifications

Proficient in health and safety management systems; OSHA CFR 1926 standards or the state construction safety regulations

Must successfully be able to pass BC Check + DT null
