Commercial Roofing Service Estimator

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review plans, specs, and site conditions to assess project scope and requirements

• Conduct roof surveys and client meetings to gather data for accurate estimating

• Perform takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment

• Analyze market pricing to ensure competitive and profitable bids

• Build and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships for pricing and support

• Prepare and submit complete, timely proposals

• Collaborate with clients on value engineering to meet budget goals

• Maintain cost databases and upload estimates into shared systems

• Attend handoff meetings with production teams to ensure project clarity

• Support admin with final bids and material planning

• Present estimates and cost breakdowns to leadership as needed

• Stay current on industry trends, pricing, and estimating practices

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, cost control and/or engineering in the commercial roofing industry.

• Strong and comprehensive knowledge base of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, cost control system, data analysis and strategic planning.

• Ability to estimate a variety of projects/contracts under strict deadlines.

• Ability to manage and oversee group work as it relates to project estimating.

• Pass State Police background check
