Primary Responsibilities:
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects on-site. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient work flow. The Superintendent ensures that construction plans, specifications, and safety protocols are followed to maintain quality and meet deadlines and budgets. Additionally, they are tasked with scheduling, conducting inspections, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining overall project quality control throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with jobsite safety regulations and work closely with local inspectors and city officials.
- Supervise daily construction activities to ensure work adheres to contract specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion and implementing corrective actions when delays arise.
- Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including Project Managers, architects, and clients, to resolve issues and ensure progress.
- Oversee subcontractor compliance with contracts, quality control procedures, and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and progress reports detailing work completed, issues encountered, and upcoming tasks.
- Review and approve daily/weekly work reports from subcontractors and laborers.
- Provide regular project updates to the Project Manager on jobsite progress, performance, and potential issues.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that work meets quality standards and client expectations.
- Resolve on-site conflicts or delays promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the project schedule.
- Oversee materials inventory and ensure timely delivery to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate the work of subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion.
- Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to monitor progress and address issues.
- Ensure the project site is organized, clean, and safe for workers.
- Maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Develop look-ahead schedules and manage work sequencing to stay ahead of potential delays.
- Oversee and manage superintendent duties across multiple job sites as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- 4-7 years of experience in commercial construction
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Experience with restaurant construction preferred
- Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned
- Must have a valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
- Able to work significant portion of day outside on construction site
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work at heights
- Must be able to work in all types of weather (including exposure to extremes of hot and cold) and in all kinds of work environments
- Able to lift/move up to 70 pounds
- Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders & stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc. (physical activities associated with construction sites)
- Must be able to withstand for long periods of time noise, fumes, airborne particles, etc. associated with construction sites
- Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
