Job Description The role requires performing project tasks involving site investigation, evaluation of permitting requirements, and assessment of environmental conditions. You will demonstrate proficiency with site civil grading using AutoCAD, design, and plan production for general civil engineering projects including site layouts and associated activities. The position involves performing quantity calculations, preparing specifications, and contract documents, and making decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed. You will function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, supervising a small staff of professionals and technicians as necessary. A self-motivated, creative individual with strong organizational, interpersonal communication, writing, and presentation skills is ideal for this role. Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and evaluate permitting requirements.
- Assess environmental conditions and determine necessary actions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in site civil grading using AutoCAD.
- Design and plan production for a variety of civil engineering projects.
- Perform quantity calculations and prepare specifications and contract documents.
- Exercise judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
- Supervise a small team of professionals and technicians as required.
- Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering, Civil Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Land Development, Stormwater, and Site Development.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Registration (EIT required).
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic programs such as TR-55/HydroCAD and StormCAD.
- Working knowledge of CAD and GIS design programs.
- Five plus years of related experience, particularly in the Energy Sector focusing on Oil, Gas, and Solar industries.
- Experience interfacing with state and local agencies as well as community boards for project planning.
- Utility permitting in PA, WV, OH, and NY.
- State certification in permitting for oil and gas regulations.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Earth.
