Senior** **Fabrication Specialist**
**Job Description**
Candidates will be performing advanced fabrication techniques to build custom products for signage. Types of products include channel letters, monument signs, pylons, wayfinding, and illuminated signs. This role involves both shop and fieldwork, including outside installations.

**Responsibilities**
+ Operate routers, saws, brakes, and other fabrication machinery.
+ Perform metal and plastic fabrication, including cutting, bending, and welding.
+ Assemble and install LED lighting systems and other electrical components.
+ Layout and coordinate plan of procedures.
+ Construct templates and jigs for accurate fabrication techniques.
+ Perform grinding, cutting, wiring, drilling, welding, and countersinking on sheet metal (aluminum mostly) ranging from .06 to .5" plates.
+ Ensure proper finishing, including painting, laminating, and vinyl application.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience in sign fabrication or a related field.
+ Proficiency in metalworking, welding (MIG/TIG), and electrical wiring.
+ Strong knowledge of materials such as aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, and other precious metals.
+ Working knowledge of brass, bronze, copper, composite material, wood, acrylic, polycarbonate, and vinyl.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
+ Familiarity with UL certification standards for illuminated signs.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience working with signage is required unless the candidate is an outstanding performer.
+ Preferred experience includes fabrication, blueprint reading, tolerance ranges .06 - .5", light electrical work, and some welding.
