Full-Time, On-site, Hourly position

Responsibilities:

Work from travelers and drawings. Works with pressboard insulation and all woodwork.

Setup and operate the following with supervision:

• Paper shear
• Press brake
• Band saw
• Paper cutter
• Key spacer punch
• Electric shear cutter
• Perform simple, but precise adjustments to the band saw, paper cutter and electric shear to produce lead pads, ducts, ties ends, pack out and window insulation or other need materials or procedures
• Form and fold insulation
• Static shields

Assist higher level operations in planning and performing a normal range of operations including:

• Drilling
• Tapping
• Reaming
• Countersinking
• Counterboring
• Grinding and sawing on a variety of wood parts

Work with higher level Carpenters to:

• Layout and work from blueprints, sketches, specifications or samples
• Sharpen drill bits as needed
• Select align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and equipment

Train and inspect with some supervision

Use all basic hand and power tools. Use all drill presses. Inspect one's own work

Use other applicable equipment under the direction of a higher-level Carpenter or Supervisor.
