Job Title: Electrician

Reports To: Operations Director

Contract Days: 235 Days

QUALIFICATIONS

Electrical License (Preferred)

Knowledge of electricity, wiring methods, and electrical maintenance

Three years electrical work experience

Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolds.

Valid Mississippi motor vehicle operator's license

Must be insurable by district insurance carrier.

Pass background test as outlined by district policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Reads blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Installs electrical conduit and wiring.

Designs and installs electrical systems and equipment.

Performs preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.

Fabricates and installs various metal components such as fan guards, equipment containers, mounting brackets, panel covers, etc.

Prepares estimates of time and materials for construction projects

Keeps record of work and materials used.

Exercises proper safety precautions during performance of daily job assignments

Secures keys, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies carried on work vehicle.

Works overtime as necessary for emergency work and special job assignments.

Assists members of the department and members of other departments when needed.

Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.

Willing to work on low and high voltage while live.
