B&N is looking for a Roadway Engineer in our Boise office to support roadway planning and design projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Come collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry, participate in projects that include roundabouts, interchanges, design-build, multimodal, highway design and so much more. This position will help mentor junior level roadway staff and support a robust regional transportation group in a growing office that delivers local project work and supports industry leading projects nationwide.
B&N Roadway Engineer Responsibilities:
Roadway design and plan preparation efforts for local and state projects in Idaho and throughout the Pacific Northwest
Support Transportation Planning projects as a roadway lead
Train and mentor younger staff on plan development and design
Serve as roadway lead and support project manager efforts in leading roadway projects
Projects include rural highways, roundabouts, interchanges, bike and pedestrian infrastructure improvements, and safety improvements
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
Engineer In Training (EIT) certification required
3+ years of related roadway experience
Experience leading design tasks or serving as roadway design lead
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MicroStation ORD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software is a plus
Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
