When you join us as a project engineer, youll be immediately engaged within a talented, diverse team to coordinate project development and delivery of several high profile, complex highway design and construction projects in the region. You will have the opportunity to collaborate not only with our local discipline staff, but also with our national and global staff to deliver successful solutions that exceed client expectations.
Youll utilize your expertise to act as lead engineer on several projects within our extensive portfolio, and also serve as a client facing Jacobs representative in the industry. Youll work daily with our team of highway engineers and designers to oversee major tasks and deliverables, coordinate with project managers to forecast progress and staff resources, and interface regularly with our clients and business partners.
The successful candidate will be familiar with the design procedures for clients in the region including Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC). Familiarity and experience with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PaDEP) Chapter 102 regulations and stormwater management design/permitting procedures is preferred.

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
Experience in transportation engineering with an emphasis on highway engineering projects. Experience with drainage, stormwater & erosion control design is preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
Strong MicroStation/InRoads/ORD background
Strong communications, mathematical, analytical, time management skills
Ideally, youll also have:
Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA
Experience with multi-discipline highway engineering design and construction projects
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) project experience
Experience with closed and open system drainage conveyance design, stormwater management design & erosion control design is preferred
