Duties: Design & build mechanical components & sheet metal prototypes for Traffic Control (ATC) Products: traffic signal controllers, control cabinets, cabinet testers. Program, operate & maintain tools like the Omax Jet Machining Center, Trotec Laser Engraver, wire stripping & brake press. Create 2D/3D models w/ sheet metal fabrication design for ATC products per NEMA standards. Design wire harness & cable models for mfg & assembly of company products. Perform onsite repair, maintenance, & commissioning of ATC products. Dvlp plans & reports for traffic controller & cabinet design. Assess & report potential issues during prototyping & production. Assist in fabricating & assembling customized products-traffic controllers, cabinets, brackets, & cable assemblies-as specified in work orders. Reqmts: Bach's deg in Engineering & 2 yrs exp in: Using Omax 55100 Waterjet Machine; Using Trotec Speedy 300 Laser Etcher; Using Amada machinery (lamination folding & die-casting); Using Speed Buffer; Using Press Brake Machine; Building mechanical prototypes for Advanced Traffic Control (ATC) products: Traffic Control Cabinets, Signal Controllers, Cabinet Testers; Providing support in ATC products mfg; Designing & redesigning ATC products.
