Architectural Designer
Job Description

We are seeking an Architectural Designer with 5-10 years of experience in a commercial design setting. This role demands solid proficiency in Revit, particularly in producing construction document (CD) sets. Your design skills will be pivotal, and a strong portfolio is necessary. You will be part of our mission-critical studio, contributing to the creation and modification of architectural documents, performing routine tasks, and occasionally engaging in higher-level assignments for training purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify architectural documents.
  • Perform routine tasks with opportunities for higher-level training assignments.
  • Attend site visits, field reviews, and meetings.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Communicate with team members, vendors, and contractors to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project issues and understand accounting principles, project budgets, and fees.
  • Maintain awareness of client relationships and business development.
  • Assist with marketing presentations.
  • Balance workload with 75% production and 25% client coordination.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit and Revit Architecture.
  • Experience with construction documents, schematic design, design development, and construction administration.
  • Base building experience.
  • Ability to manage clients, consultants, and overall projects.
  • Architectural design and construction drawing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
  • Licensure preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
  • Basic understanding of codes and ADA.
  • Strong client interfacing personality.
Work Environment

The work environment offers a flexible schedule, combining both in-office and remote work (typically 3 days remote). During the first 30 days, employees are encouraged to be in the office for more than 4 days to acclimate to the firm and their teams. Our collaborative culture extends across our offices in NYC, DC, and Richmond, VA, allowing us to staff projects efficiently. The firm offsets the costs of licenses and provides additional compensation for parking if required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
