Architectural Designer

We are seeking an Architectural Designer to join our design teams and contribute to the design and production of base building architecture using Revit. This position requires a passion for Data Centers and Industrial work, as most of the current demand falls within these sectors. The role involves drafting, taking redlines, managing project timelines, and liaising with clients and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Survey sites and input data accurately.
• Participate in space planning and contribute inputs.
• Pick up redlines on construction document sets and help produce these sets with team collaboration.
• Assist with the measurement process and provide support during the construction administration and submittal phases.
• Assemble drawing sets and coordinate lightly with MEP consultants.
• Meet with architectural representatives and maintain architectural resources, including CAD symbols and 3D libraries.
• Create renderings and help with presentations, including colored elevations.

• Proficiency in Architecture and Architectural Design.
• Experience in Construction Document production.
• Skill in using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Base Building Experience.
• Industrial and Commercial Architecture expertise.
• Experience in Project Management and Construction Administration.
• Ability to draft construction drawings and develop designs.

• BS in Architecture preferred.
• Basic understanding of codes and ADA compliance.
• 3-10 years of experience in architectural design.
• Client interfacing personality.
• US Citizenship required.

The firm is located in Reston, VA, and is known for its flexible working conditions, allowing for 1-2 days in the office depending on performance. The team uses Vectorworks, a Mac-based platform, providing each employee with a MacBook Pro and iPad for seamless integration. The company offers 28 days of PTO for holidays, vacation, and sick time. The work environment fosters collaboration on various projects, including data centers, industrial projects, and capital improvements. The office is planned to move in August 2024 to a location with more amenities in the Reston area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
