About the Role:
The Tue-Sat 3rd Shift Union Electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the electrical systems within the CFM's Fort Wayne facility operate efficiently and safely. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The electrician will work closely with other maintenance personnel to implement preventive maintenance programs and respond to electrical emergencies as they arise. Additionally, the role involves adhering to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees. Ultimately, the successful candidate will contribute to the overall operational excellence of the facility by ensuring that all electrical systems are functioning optimally.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical work.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems.
- Additional certifications in safety or specialized electrical training.
