2nd Shift Welder - Salina

Great Plains currently has an opening for a 2nd Shift Welder at the Salina Campus.

This position is Monday through Thursday 4:30 pm to 3:00 am

Responsibilities:

Able to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions

Operation of various welding robots

Able to lift heavy parts throughout the shift

Clean, repair and examine welds as needed

Conduct quality checks throughout the shift

Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment

Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment

Qualifications:

Understand team concept and be a strong team player

High standard for quality and detail

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Willingness to work overtime

Working knowledge of MIG welding operations

Open to Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change
