Electrical Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Electrical Estimator to support a variety of government agency projects throughout NYC and the surrounding areas. The projects predominantly involve work with government agencies such as SCA, NYCHA, and DDC.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for cost estimates at all stages of design.
  • Obtain, update, and manage accurate pricing information from databases, contractors, and suppliers to utilize in cost estimates.
  • Prepare cost reconciliations between two or more estimates and explain the differences.
  • Participate in project meetings and manage stages of design including feasibility studies, master plan estimates, value engineering, cost and bid analysis, and change orders.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in electrical estimating.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost accounting, reporting, methods, and programs.
  • Experience with government agencies such as DDC, SCA, and NYCHA.
  • Ability to perform take-offs and bid analysis.
  • Experience in institutional, residential, and healthcare construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of budgets ranging from $1 million to $200 million.
Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with two days working from home. The office is located in midtown and operates from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our small team, consisting of 4-6 in-house employees, fosters a collaborative and family-like atmosphere. The newly relocated office on Park Ave boasts wonderful amenities, including a rooftop with a beautiful view of the NYC skyline.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
