Plasma Burn Table Operator

Staffmark is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plasma Burn Table Operator to join a growing fabrication team in Monroe, LA. In this hands-on role, you'll operate and maintain a CNC plasma cutting table, working with metal materials to meet precise job specifications. Pay: Starting at $18/hr (Depending on experience.)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12-hour shifts + occasional Saturdays

Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate a CNC plasma cutting machine (burn table)
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders
• Adjust machine settings including feed rate, torch height, and speed
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts safely
• Monitor cutting performance and inspect parts for accuracy and quality
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus
• 1-3 years of CNC plasma or similar machine operation experience
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.)
• Familiarity with CNC and nesting software (AutoCAD experience is a bonus)
• Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Knowledge of steel types, plate thicknesses, and cutting characteristics
• Comfortable working in a shop environment (noise, heat, metal dust) with PPE required
