Finish Carpenter**

**Job Description**

We are seeking experienced finish carpenters with 6-8 years of experience in commercial, new-build construction. Successful candidates will perform various carpentry techniques, including doors, frames, hardware, rough-in, finish, drywall, metal framing, drop ceilings, tile work, and floor work. In 2025, you must be willing to travel to projects in the Ozarks, Warrensburg, and Sedalia, with paid lodging, meals, and bonus pay included.

**Responsibilities**

+ Execute a variety of carpentry techniques such as doors, frames, and hardware installation.

+ Perform rough-in and finish carpentry, as well as drywall and metal framing.

+ Install drop ceilings, tile, and floor work as required.

+ Collaborate effectively with team members, ensuring all projects meet high-quality standards.

+ Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction work.

+ Travel to various project sites as needed, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

**Essential Skills**

+ 6-8 years of experience in commercial, new-build construction.

+ Proficiency in multiple carpentry skills such as framing, finish carpentry, and rough carpentry.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ OSHA 10 certification.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Understanding of other trades such as concrete, electrical, and mechanical.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team that complements each other's skills.

+ Problem-solving skills and a strong sense of pride in workmanship.

**Work Environment**

Work on small to mid-sized commercial projects with teams ranging from 3-10 employees. The current self-perform team consists of 27 employees, with plans to expand in 2025. The work environment is not climate-controlled, and the schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, typically working 42-43 hours per week.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
