Construction Superintendent

Construction Superintendent opportunity with a client located in the Long Island, NY area. This position will be responsible to coordinate all aspects of HVAC, lighting and mechanical systems projects across multiple education system facilites.

responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Project Manager and Lighting Engineers to schedule, coordinate and monitor all work performed
  
  
• Monitor labor, materials, project modifications and work completion and makes changes as necessary to ensure achievement of project objectives within cost and time constraints
  
  
• Oversee all aspects of installation, working with all parties involved to proactively prevent and solve quality issues and other problems that may arise in the course of the project
  
  
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to all OSHA, Federal, State and safety regulations as well as all company policies and procedure
  
  
• Coordinate with Management, Finance and Accounting support groups to ensure project is on track and cost objectives are met
  
  
• Other duties as typical and required

Requirements

• Approximately 5 or more years construction related experience ideally with HVAC, lighting, MEP, boiler or similar projects
  
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and project schedules, properly document projects, and work well with customers and achieve customer satisfaction on every job
  
  
• Experience working with and directing project teams
  
  
• Run jobsite progress meetings
  
  
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work with all levels and types of people to include project owners
  
  
• Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA, Federal, and State Safety regulations
