Skilled Welder/Fabricator

JAMFAB has an immediate opening for an EXPERIENCED AND SKILLED metal fabricator with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in TIG welding. This position is for interior architectural metal work requiring a high level of layout, fabrication and flawless finishing.

**This is not an entry level position. AT LEAST 3 years of experience is required.**
**FULL TIME Monday - Thursday from 6am - 4pm.

Job Responsibilities:
-Fabrication and installation of products from raw material to finished product
-Plan and prepare jobs, cut lists, create layouts and jigs as needed
-Fabricate from shop drawings
-Variety of metal welding and grinding techniques, working to a very high degree of accuracy and finish
-Confidence with metal shop tools and equipment
-Onsite layout and installation of other metal and glass doors, fireplaces, and hoodfans

Job Requirements:
-Must have 3 years experience in TIG welding
-Must be able to speak and read English
-Must be able to commute to and from our shop in Aldergrove
-Must have valid BC drivers license
-Ability to think critically, troubleshoot and use common sense
-Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, fraction/decimal conversion, geometry)
-Ability to work safely and follow all safety protocol
-Ability to lift 45 lbs and push/pull 150 lbs
-Forklift ticket an asset (but not required)

Salary & Benefits
-$35+ per hour based on qualifications and experience
-4 x 10-hr work days per work (Monday - Thursday)
