Sheet Metal Foreman

Macon GA

Peak is seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and manage sheet metal crews on commercial and industrial HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage personnel decisions including hiring and termination, and utilize computer systems for project documentation, scheduling, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of sheet metal workers on job sites.

Plan, assign, and review work to ensure quality and efficiency.

Hire, train, and evaluate sheet metal personnel; make recommendations for promotions or terminations as needed.

Maintain accurate records of employee performance, attendance, and job progress.

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Utilize computer systems for project scheduling and tracking, timekeeping and payroll input, material ordering and inventory management, and daily reporting and communication with management.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.

Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce job site safety protocols.

Essential Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints.

Pay is based on experience $30 - $35++ per hour.
