Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural systems on heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, graders, etc.
- Repair and replace defective parts, such as bearings, gears, and hydraulic components
- Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance of trucks and equipment either at the shop or on location of a breakdown
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and determine repair procedures
- Respond to field service calls and perform repairs on-site as needed
- Operate heavy equipment to test repairs and ensure functionality
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer and company standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor time
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators to identify equipment problems
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all company and regulatory safety standards
- Qualified candidates must have excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with brakes, tires, and other maintenance services
- Must be familiar with both diesel and gas engines
- A minimum of three years of experience
- A valid driver's license in good standing (CDL and Inspection License are not required but would be a plus)
- Must have own tools and a positive attitude
