Job Summary
W e are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our team, with a focus on maintaining and preparing equipment to meet operational demands. This position is ideal for individuals with 6 months to 1 year of mechanical/technical experience, and prior experience in an oil field environment is preferred but not requiredwe will provide training. The role involves working primarily in the shop environment (99%) with occasional exposure to field operations, particularly related to downhole tools. As a Mechanical Technician, you will help reduce equipment downtime, improve maintenance efficiency, and support operational excellence within our Maintenance Base (MB).
Job Description
- Maintain and repair assigned equipment following standard maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately log work orders, parts used, labor hours, and maintenance history.
- Ensure timely delivery of equipment for operational needs.
- Perform transactional duties in line with Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) protocols to track materials, labor, and performance data.
- Comply with all TLM Product Line standards and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment turnaround time and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
- Assist in implementing CoSD projects, including the planned repair and reuse of parts.
- Participate in failure investigations and support root cause analysis as assigned.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and process improvement.
- Adhere to the TLM Competency Management System to support personal and team development.
S kills Required
- 6 months to 1 year of mechanical/technical experience required (experience with downhole tools is a plus).
- Previous oil field or field environment experience preferred but not requiredtraining provided.
- Comfortable working in a shop-based role (99% shop work).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to follow structured processes and accurately document work.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Pay Rate
- $22 or higher depending on experience
