Fabricator**
**Job Description**
Under general supervision, the Fabricator I is responsible for producing high-quality fabricated parts utilizing various fabrication equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain various fabrication equipment to produce high-quality parts.
+ Adhere to safety protocols, including good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.
+ Perform basic preventative maintenance and documentation tasks.
+ Participate in teamwork and cross-functional teams to improve processes.
+ Carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English.
+ Learn new processes, systems, and equipment to enhance skills.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to operate basic fabrication equipment.
+ Proficiency in reading and understanding procedures, safety sheets, and policies in English.
+ Skills in documentation and team concepts.
+ Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED preferred.
+ Preferred experience in manufacturing.
+ Quality training, including incoming part quality and proper part loading.
+ Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
+ Physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, stand, and crawl as needed.

**Work Environment**
This position operates in a manufacturing environment. Requires the use of safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection in designated areas. May require the use of respirators in the paint booth area. Be prepared for exposure to loud noises and physical demands, including prolonged periods of standing and lifting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
