The Fabricator works within a team of fabricators engaged in a wide variety of work performed in the fabrication shops. Employees will carry out their assigned tasks and activities in the Plastic, Paint, Metal, Wood and Trim shops within the Design organization.
RESPONSIBILITIESWhat you'll do
- Perform specific tasks on all fabrication projects
- Support fabrication project timing, quality, and customer requirements
- Uses tools and machinery on assigned fabrication projects
- Safely applies or uses materials and tools in fabrication shops
- Determines which techniques will be used on various projects
- Utilize computer systems as necessary
- Interface with vendors and suppliers as necessary
- Work with other team members in making required corrections/updates/changes to assure timely completion
- Coordinate translation of drawings, prints, and verbal ideas into fabrication projects or into precision shapes, forms and/or parts
- Develop new and innovative fabrication techniques to enhance the fabrication/paint development process
- Participate in shop meetings to discuss project timing, scheduling, equipment, work plans, maintenance or other matters
- Assist in shop operations (inventory, ordering, safety, controlling budget)
- Multitask and oversee multiple jobs at once

You'll have...
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years+ of experience in fabrication field

- Strong knowledge of model building materials, equipment and techniques
- Ability to work with a team under tight timing, ever changing design direction, keeping a positive attitude
- Ability to motivate team to respond to a demanding schedule
