Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Staffmark is seeking a skilled and dependable Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join a top-tier facility in Bay City, TX. If you're experienced with heavy equipment, preventative maintenance, and thrive in overnight roles, this is a great opportunity-with excellent pay, overtime, benefits, and even relocation assistance!

Pay & Schedule:

• Pay: $26.50 - $29.50/hour (based on experience)
• Shift: Overnight | Sunday night - Friday morning, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• Must be flexible and available to work day shift as needed
• Overtime available

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, inspections, and repairs
• Diagnose and repair automobiles, trucks, forklifts, and heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems
• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate and test vehicles
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Conduct quality inspections on completed work

Requirements:

• Proven experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Skilled in industrial equipment and vehicle servicing
• Must provide own tools
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Reliable, consistent, and goal-driven
• Able to plan and prioritize tasks effectively
• Committed to workplace safety and collaboration
